Virtuos was awarded gold in the ‘social, collaboration and communication’ category and was recognized for introducing and maintaining an intranet that is used to inform staff and enable communication, not just act as a corporate news homepage.

In addition, Virtuos’ intranet was acknowledged for being in tune with the company culture, and utilizing social features which appeal to the younger workforce. Virtuos’ training and knowledge contribution via certificates and unlocking levels was also recognized.

The Intranet Innovation Awards are held by Step Two Designs, a recognized global thought-leader in intranet strategy and design.

“This shows gamification applied to business needs, rather than being a fad. It taps into the needs of the individual to serve the organization’s goals” said Intranet Innovation Awards judge, James Robinson.

“If ever an intranet exemplified corporate culture, this one does. I’m sure the employees love it. Certainly very innovative in both vision and execution” said Martin White, also a judge of the awards.
