1.非謂語動詞使用不當(dāng)

原：Comparingwiththemoneypeopleearns，thesenseofachievementismoreimportant.

改：Comparedwiththemoneypeopleearns，thesenseofachievementismoreimportant.

評：此處是動磒are的現(xiàn)在分詞和過去分詞使用混淆了。在英語中，動詞的現(xiàn)在分詞往往表示的是主動的意思，過去分詞則表示被動的含義。原句想表達(dá)的是“將成就感與錢相比”，“把…與…相比”是明顯的被動含義，因此應(yīng)該使觩ared.

2.時態(tài)混亂

原：AlthoughIhavenoworkexperiencewhenIwasateenager，Ialwaysdreamedabouthavingajob.

改：AlthoughIhadnoworkexperiencewhenIwasateenager，Ialwaysdreamedabouthavingajob.

評：雖然托福寫作以議論文為主，為了表示客觀性，基本上使用的都是現(xiàn)在時態(tài)，但是在舉例的時候還是會涉及到一些過去時態(tài)，例如上面的句子，切記：主從句時態(tài)要保持一致。

3.表述累贅

原：Inteplaysanimportantandindispensibleroleinpeople’slifetoday.

改：Inteplaysanindispensibleroleinpeople’slifetoday.

評：這個句子一看就知道是作者為了使用高級詞匯而犯下的錯誤。明明已經(jīng)有Important來表示重要性了，又強行加上了indispensible來表示不可缺少，這種說法只有在中國ZF工作報告中才會出現(xiàn)的，老美是不喜歡的！

4.用詞不當(dāng)：用詞不當(dāng)包括詞性混淆，同義詞錯用以及固定搭配錯誤等。

固定搭配錯誤：

原句：Asafriendandmentor，shedrewfromhumor，abeautifulspiritandherfaithintheAboriginalculturetoaplishherwork.

改：Asafriendandmentor，shedrewonhumor，abeautifulspiritandherfaithintheAboriginalculturetoaplishherwork.

評：drawfrom：從……中汲取(經(jīng)驗等)，drawon：借鑒(經(jīng)驗等)作者本想使用一個高級的表達(dá)法，結(jié)果用錯了，很可惜。

詞性混淆：

原句：Alargenumberofpeopleholdthebelievethatstudents’socialactivitiesshouldbethefirstpriority.

改：Alargenumberofpeopleholdthebeliefthatstudents’socialactivitiesshouldbethefirstpriority.

評：這個例子中believe是動詞，belief才是名詞形式。雖然發(fā)音相近，但是用法卻完全不同。

同義詞錯用：

原句：It’sindeedthatpeopleareworryingabouttheincreasingpopulation.

改：It’struethatpeopleareworryingabouttheincreasingpopulation.

評：雖然二者都表示“真的”，indeed卻沒有it’sindeedthat…的結(jié)構(gòu)，此處只能用true來表示。
